Haynes 230-W (UNS N06231) is a high-temperature nickel-chromium-tungsten alloy that delivers outstanding oxidation resistance, creep strength, and thermal stability.
As a rolled strip / coil / foil product, Haynes 230-W is engineered for applications requiring long-term stability in oxidizing, carburizing, and nitriding atmospheres, with reliable performance at temperatures up to 1150°C (2100°F).
Compared with standard Haynes 230, the 230-W grade offers enhanced weldability and improved resistance to heat-affected-zone cracking, making it ideal for components that require frequent thermal cycling or welding operations.
Typical applications include industrial furnace parts, aerospace engine hardware, combustion systems, heat-treat fixtures, chemical processing equipment, and high-temperature structural components.
