INCONEL 617 (UNS N06617) is a solid-solution strengthened nickel-based alloy containing chromium, cobalt, and molybdenum, specifically developed for exceptional high-temperature strength, oxidation resistance, and carburization resistance.
The alloy maintains excellent mechanical properties and structural stability at temperatures up to 1100°C, making it one of the strongest nickel alloys for extreme heat environments. Its high chromium content provides superior oxidation resistance, while cobalt and molybdenum significantly enhance creep strength and fatigue resistance.
INCONEL 617 is widely used in aerospace, gas turbines, industrial furnaces, petrochemical processing, and power generation, especially for components exposed to long-term high temperatures and thermal cycling.
Available in plate, sheet, bar, pipe, tube, coil/strip, and forgings, supplied in solution-annealed condition with full MTC EN 10204 3.1.
