INCONEL 690 (UNS N06690) is a high-chromium nickel-based alloy specifically developed to provide exceptional resistance to oxidation, hot corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in aggressive high-temperature and aqueous environments.
With a chromium content of approximately 30%, Alloy 690 offers significantly improved corrosion resistance compared with INCONEL 600, particularly in high-temperature water, steam, caustic solutions, and oxidizing media. It also demonstrates excellent resistance to sulfur-containing atmospheres and long-term thermal stability.
