 HAYNES 242 alloy (UNS N10242) is a nickel-molybdenum precipitation-hardenable superalloy designed for applications requiring low thermal expansion, excellent creep strength, and outstanding stability at intermediate temperatures (up to 800°C / 1500°F).
It offers superior strength compared with solid-solution nickel alloys and is widely used in aerospace, gas turbine components, chemical process equipment, and high-temperature sealing systems.

The alloy provides remarkable dimensional stability during long-term exposure and excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion. Its combination of thermal stability + low expansion + high strength makes HAYNES 242 ideal for precision high-temperature components.

Available as strip, coil, sheet, plate, bar, forging and customized parts, supplied with full MTC EN 10204 3.1.
